Frozen Meal Shipping, Storage & Reheating Guide
Our frozen meals are prepared, packaged, and shipped with care so you can enjoy Waakye & Co at home.
SHIPPING
Frozen meals are shipped on designated shipping days using next-day delivery services.
Because these meals are perishable, they must arrive the next day. Please make sure someone is available to receive your package or that you can bring it inside as soon as possible after delivery.
Tracking information will be provided once your order ships.
WHEN YOUR ORDER ARRIVES
Open your package as soon as possible after delivery.
Your meals should arrive frozen, partially frozen, or refrigerator-cold.
If the food still contains ice crystals or is 40°F or below, it can be placed in the freezer for later use.
If you have any concerns about the condition of your package when it arrives, please contact Waakye & Co promptly and include photos of the package and food.
STORAGE
For later:
Place meals in the freezer as soon as possible after delivery.
For meals you plan to eat soon:
Move the meal to the refrigerator to thaw safely.
Once fully thawed in the refrigerator, keep refrigerated and enjoy within 3–4 days.
Do not leave perishable meals sitting at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
HOW TO THAW
For best results, we recommend thawing your meal in the refrigerator.
Place the sealed meal in the refrigerator and allow it to thaw gradually.
For faster thawing, you may use the cold-water method while keeping the food in a leak-proof package. Keep the water cold and change it regularly.
If you thaw a meal in the microwave, reheat and eat it immediately.
REHEATING
Reheating times will vary depending on the meal, portion size, appliance, and whether the food is fully thawed.
Reheat food until it is steaming hot throughout and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
For rice-based meals, adding a small splash of water before reheating can help restore moisture.
For best quality, stir or rotate the food during reheating so it heats evenly.
Individual frozen products may include additional reheating instructions when needed.
